Chapter Yongsha 22Jun08

Chapter leaders had our yongsha after D2 Discussion meeting. We met up at famous Teochew Duckie Stall near Emily's place. We had a wonderful dinner. You could check out our album pics. Then we proceed up to Emily's house to chant and do our yongsha.

We planned on upcoming Jun and July's Chapter Prayers Meeting, also on Chapter-District Leaders Meeting on 14th July. Of course we discussed on Chapter Friendship Gathering (CFG).

Joyful dialogue after District Study

Today we conclude the last instalment on the gosho 'On Attaining Buddhahood'. We enjoyed a good discussion then continued on with our open dialogue after study. Raymond shared on his tremendous recent struggles and Lewis on how he polished his life during his recent business trip to Japan.

We discussed on Sep 14th's Chapter Friendship Gathering (CFG) and on All Leaders Meeting on 12th June.

Chinese President Hu Jintao and Daisaku Ikeda Meet in Tokyo on 8th May 08

Ikeda sensei met with President Hu for 30 minutes.



He presented President Hu with a Chinese poem as a symbol of their friendship and expressed hopes for enduring friendly relations between Japan and China. President Hu expressed his happiness on meeting Mr. Ikeda for the third time.

Sensei's poem reads:

國富邦和日日新
家家充裕感恩深
主施仁政行王道
席不暇暖為人民

古來文化漢土求
月氏睿智福共籌
錦繡中華迎舊友
濤聲友好萬代流

He thanked him for his courage in promoting Sino-Japanese relations, referring particularly to Mr. Ikeda's 1968 call for the normalization of ties between China and Japan. He said that even during times when the relationship has been tense, Mr. Ikeda has always proffered constructive suggestions from a broad historical perspective.

'Ten World' Study Revision

Faciliators gather at Esther's place to discuss on coming topic for Study 'Ten Worlds'. We also go through two DVDs to learn more.
